Cristiano Gullotta's project went through different phases before getting to the actual form of concert for piano, voice and video. The outcome is a "chamber show", just like "chamber music", title of the collection of Joyce juvenile work that inspired him, a mixture of classical and lounge music. The melodies, sang by the peculiar and beautiful contralto voice of Maurizio Rippa evoke the emotions of the lirics, written by "a strange lonely boy, walking about by myself at night and thinking that some day a girl would love me", as Joyce himself wrote. Themes like love, female beauty, betrayal, melancholy are treated in a simple style, aware of rythm, musicality of the liric and armony of the images. Images that are set up live from Vj Nikki, just as a "video track". About the poems, twenty-years old Joyce thought "some of them are pretty enough to be put to music. I hope someone will do so"
