CRISTIANO GULLOTTA
Studies as pianist at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia of Roma. In 1998 leads a radio show called “Spunk” on “Radio Città Futura” (network of Radio Popolare) a view on the contemporary independent musical scene enriched by the reading of selected contemporary literature pieces.
In 2000 works as dj for Festa dell’Unità of Roma and as pianist in the roman club “Zoobar” with a specific night appointment called B-TWIN.
In 2000 and 2001 works for the magazine “Rockstar” following the festivals of Reading and Leeds (UK), in 2002 djs and plays piano for chill-out nights in clubs and from this experience he sets up a piano repertoire that fuses Debussy and Sakamoto to soundtracks and classical music in a unique fluent concert.
SATIE’S FASHION is the name of this succesful show; it is performed in roman clubs, in the foyer of Teatro Vittoria and Teatro Furio Camillo, in Corviale, into an exhibition organized by the Council of Rome and in different villages and small towns around Lazio through the theatre circuit called ATCL.
Original music is used in COME SEDUM SCOPRI’ LA DECAPPOTTABILE and RE-JOYCE. The first piano concert is performed accompanied by the vjing of vj Nikki, the second is a concert for piano and voice with video (same vj again). The voice is of the contertenor Maurizio Rippa that reads and sings lirics from Joyce’s juvenile work, “Chamber Music”
A piece of this concert has been used for the tv program “Ulisse”, while some other tracks have become the soundtrack of a theatre show, “I costruttori di imperi “of Boris Vian, directed by Davide Iodice and produced by Alessandro Benvenuti.
