Formed in Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica "Silvio D’Amico"/Roma
and at the New York University, Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte study
drama with Edward Albee. They win several prizes: the Studio
12/Anticoli Corrado Prize with fuochi fatui, the Oddone Cappellino
Prize with l’acchiappatopi, the Vallecorsi Prize and the Fondi-La
Pastora Prize with facchini dell’orsa maggiore and the Hystrio Prize
for the Drama. 'abbastarduna and matria are the first and the second
chapter of the family-trilogy orgy of feelings. They represent Teatro
Eliseo/Roma in the ExtraCandoni Festival.
troia's discount (Festival Internazionale Castel dei Mondi, Nuovo
Teatro Nuovo and Asti Teatro) was produced in 2006, directed by
Stefano Ricci. The project wunderkammer soap #1_#2, directed by
Stefano Ricci, came on at the Festival Quartieri dell’Arte ‘06.
In 2007 they are invited from the Embassy of France for "Face à Face"
with Olivier Py. At Biennale Danza Venezia, in collaboration with
Teatro La Scala/Milano, mare in catene, is on stage in June ‘07. They
take part in Osservatorio Critico of Scenario Prize. At Festival
Internazionale Castel dei Mondi, metamorpHotel and wunderkammer soap
#3_#4_#5 were produced, directed by Stefano Ricci, August/September
‘07: the integral show run at Edinburgh Festival and Short Theatr3,
Teatro India/Rome.
At Avignon University, the French edition of 'abbastarduna came on. In
April ‘08 troia's discount was produced again (Teatro Eliseo/Roma and
Nuovo Teatro Nuovo/Napoli).
100% furioso came on at Festival Internazionale Castel dei Mondi, in
August ‘08. In the season ‘08/’09 ploutos (Teatro Argentina/Roma and
Biennale Teatro/Venezia), directed by Massimo Popolizio, won the
Critics Prize as the best writing Biennale Venezia 09.
macadamia nut brittle, their last production, directed by Stefano
Ricci, came on at Garofano Verde Festival, organized by the critic
Rodolfo di Giammarco in Rome, June 09,
Elisabetta Pozzi, Maria Paiato, Manuela Mandracchia, Massimo
Popolizio, Serena Sinigaglia are, among the others, actors and
directors of their plays.
With ETI and Istituto di Cultura Italiana Ricci/Forte represent the
Italian Drama in Rouen (Scène Nazionale
Petit-Quevilly/Mont-Saint-Aignan, Avignon, Marseille (Festival
Actoral) and Nantes (Le Lieu Unique).
