Compagnia Fabio Ciccalè


The company was founded in 2002 by the choreographer-dancer Fabio Ciccalè to extend his creativity and approach to choreography with a group.
His work is mainly centred on a contemporary technique code, notwithstanding the importance of creativity and improvisation. The body is considered a continually evolving organism where technique and physicality reside together with forms and expression.
A lot of room is left in the choreography for the dancers’ imagination to contribute from their own stock of physical and emotional experiences.
All the dancers have to be aware of themselves, the others, their surroundings, the audience and be ready to give their all during the performance.
The main aim of my group’s choreography is to evoke emotions and move the spectator using whatever means (the physical body, voice, image, object and costume).
We are not interested in merely telling stories but in catching the audience unprepared, to astonish and move them.
